Morning was a bit cold so we stopped again in Aamli to warm up on a cup of coffee.
Then another stop at Meinstad Landhandel for another coffee.
And we are parked for the motorshow at Straand Hotel.
Il Tempo Gigante
This is the fully functioning promo car for the norwegian movie The Pinchcliffe Grand Prix.
A 1975 animated film directed by Ivo Caprino - (1920-2001). It is based on characters from a series of books by Norwegian cartoonist and author Kjell Aukrust - (1920 -2002).
There are some movie clips on youtube.
Search for "The Pinchcliffe Grand Prix" for the animated stuff and "Il Tempo Gigante" for the car.

It has a 7.6 L, 550 hp, V8 big-block Chevrolet engine built by the Niki Lauda formula 1 team.
The car also has an auxiliary jet-engine, but due to EU restrictions the vehicle is barely permitted to be used at all.
There's also a story about Emerson Fittipaldi doing a lap of the Nuerburgring in it, getting it to a top speed of 180 km/t. (V8 engine only)
