Then we are off to 1000 Oaks, CA. To meet my friend and long time contributor Mark.
On our last visit in 2010 my family and I visited Mark and some of his gearhead friends.
When my norwegian friends saw the pictures from that visit they were eager to join for another tour.
Mark talked to his friends and they were all welcoming us to their homes for some serious gearheadding.

Seems like we are in the correct neighborhood.
Found our way to the correct house. Per brought a souvenir from the land of the Vikings.
Just a little peek in Mark's garage before heading for the great gearhead adventure.
Checking out Mark's VW Karman Ghia. This is a survivor car that Mark bought new in 1971.
No waiting, Mark has planned our day in detail so we better get started, there is a lot to see today.
First on the list, a visit to the all Ford man Don Durkee (green t-shirt).

Don and his wife Mary started the barbecue when we arrived. At Durkee's they had cars and hot dogs on the menu.
Don takes us to the other side of the fence to visit his neighbor and son in law.
Seems like he's been raised Don's way, :-) Ford cars sets the standard on this side of the fence too.
