Saturday roadtrip
Evje, Setesdal - Norway

Photos by Hans Tore Tangerud

Back in Evje.

My danish friend saw the earlier pictures from Evje and wanted me to take him there.
So here we are again. As usual, he needs a bakery breakfast to get a good start on a new day.

A danish walrus.

Runic rock/monument.

Runic writing.
Runes are the letters in a set of related alphabets known as runic alphabets.
The letters were used to write various Germanic languages before the adoption of the Latin alphabet
and for specialized purposes thereafter. The Scandinavian variants are also known as futhark or fuşark.

Evje firestation - Kids day.

Some old firetrucks.

Back at the old/former military camp.
An antique store that we didn't visit earlier.

What a mess!
In norwegian this "fitting" sign means military dining room.

Exploring more of the camp.

Driving backroads to get back home.

Hydro powerstation.

This "hidden" unlocked shed/garage caught our attention.

Wow!

Another hydro powerstation.

Abandoned house along the road.
