Cars I've owned

Owner: Larry McKenzie from Canada

My first car.
1954 Chevrolet 4-door, standard transmission.
Bought it in 1963 when I was in the Canadian Navy.
Put a lot of miles on it, eventually scrapped it.

My favorite car.
1960 Pontiac Parisienne (Canadian model). Convertible, V-8 283 Cu-in. Automatic.
Converted into a 3-speed floor mounted manual shift transmission. I traded it in on a 1970 Acadian 350.
300 HP V-8. 4 Speed on the floor. Man was that hot. Didn't have it very long and have no picture of it.

1949 Chevrolet. Purchased in 1966 for $100. It ran like a top.
I bought it for my brother who then didn't like it so I resold it for what I paid.

1974 Pontiac Astre. 4-Cyl,
4-speed on the floor. Nice car. Hatchback.

1975 Chevy Nova. 350 V-8 automatic.
Family car. It was very nice, factory ordered, velour seats.
The aftermath of the 1975 Nova, some guy ran a red light and nailed me. It was repaired but it wasn't the same.

1959 GMC 1/2 ton truck.
I purchased this near Saskatoon, Saskatchewan in 1971.
I drove it everyday until 1982. It then sat in the back yard rusting away until
someone came to my door in 2004 wanting it. I gave it away, just too much work for me to do.

1977 Chevy Van.
Semi-camperized. Had beds, carpet and paneling.
It had a 350 Cu. in. V-8 and handled very nicely. Kept that one for 6 years.

1983 Buick Century.
Bought it new in 1983 from my brother who was a salesman for a Vancouver car dealer.
The wreckage came from hitting a deer on a dark stretch of road on a winter's night in 1984.

1985 Olds Cutlass Cierra.
I never thought I'd own a station wagon.
The aftermath of the 1988 crash. I rear ended a big old Crysler
in a snow storm near Edson, Alberta. It was written off. No one was hurt.

1983 Pontiac Grand Prix.
350 V-8, automatic. T-Roof. Purchased in 1988. I had it painted red.
The engine gave out in 1999 and I scrapped it. Drove it for 11 years.

2004 Mazda3.
A great little car. 4-cyl, good on gas and lots of poop.
Automatic with the 4 sp manual override. Kept it until 2008.

2006 Nissan Frontier SE.
4-cyl automatic. Purchased in May 2008.

2008 Nissan Altima.
V6, 3.5 L, 270 HP. Goes really good.
Leather, sun roof, Bose Stereo. Took it on a 6 week tour of part of the US.
We traveled South to San Diego then cut across through Arizona, Texas, New Mexico ending up
in Nashville, Tennessee before turning around and heading home. It was a great trip. We drove through 17 States.

Other vehicles I've had are:
1949 Austin
1946 Chevy Panel Truck
1962 Chevrolet 4-door
1970 Acadian 350
