1936 Lincoln Lebaron Roadster

Owner: David L. Lee from The USA

1952 – In New York, I became a Charter Member of the Classic Car Club of America.
1953 – In Atlanta, I bought my first car, a black, 1936 “K” Lincoln Lebaron Convertible in Junk condition.

1954 – Had the junk body & engine Professionally restored for $1,000. Engine bored out from
414 cu. in, to 434 cu.in. Aluminum body & engine = 6,000 pounds.3 or 4 mpg, city, 8 mpg in country.

1958 – Having moved to hilly Cinncinnatti, I sold the Lincoln. It was like driving a Greyhound Bus in the Rockies.

1960’s - The car rose to $ 86,000 in the Collector Market.
1970’s - I saw a gray one on the Glidden Tour through Washington DC.
2000 - I was delighted to see a photo of “my car” at the Local, McLean, Lincoln Dealer.
2010 – The Dealer graciously let me remove photo from its frame and copy it.
