1970 Chrysler 300 Hurst

Owner: Joe Gross from Englewood Florida, USA

The 1970 Chrysler 300 Hurst is the rarest of all of Chryslers. Built in association with the legendary Hurst performance company,
to give Chrysler the only luxury "Muscle Car" during the muscle car era of the 60's and 70's, and it's a
throwback to the legendary 300 letter cars. Between 485 & 500 of those conversion were ever made.

Under the hood is a 440 cu-in "TNT" engine with 375 gross horsepower. It breaths through a dual snorkel air cleaner
roared through dual exhausts and it has a beefed up TorqueFlite transmission. Ride was enhanced with a firm
suspension due to tougher rear leaf springs and larger diameter torsion bars up front.

Power front disc brakes were standard, as was the 3.23:1 final drive ratio. Some of the features of these huge power
machines are a unique fiberglass power bulge hood with functional air scoop and dual depressed
rotary hood latches, fiberglass deck lid with integral rear spoiler and rear end caps. The Hurst
traditional White and Gold paint combination, deluxe wheel treatment and Side marker lights.

It has Imperial leather interior with a long list of comfort options.
Dual 6-way power seats, A/C with climate control, PS, PB, PW and Door locks.
Tilt-telescope steering wheel with perimeter-recessed horn ring, AM/FM/8-track stereo and cruise control.

With a base price of $ 5,842 it was the most expensive Chrysler in 1970 (except Imperial).
