I owned this rare Impala from 1988 to 1995.
It was my daily driver until 1995 when the motor died.
I have never seen one like it. I did the conversion myself.
I was in school, out of money and wanted a cool car. So my solution was, go buy a circular
saw and cut the top off. It was the craziest thing I ever did. I didn't know if it would work or not.
I drove it the entire summer without a top (1991). It was my daily driver. For rain I would just drive to a bridge
or gas station canopy and wait out the storm. When it started getting cold in October, I had a top made for it that unsnapped and folded down.
