Ford Motor Co. vehicles have always had a solid prestige in Argentina since its starting in the country in December 31st. 1913, as the second subsidiary worlwide after the first in Manchester, UK.
The first Ford Falcons, mounted with imported parts were produced in Buenos Aires started on july 15, 1962.
On September 1991, that is 30 years later, on the anniversary of the Falcon Plant inauguration (Sept. 21st. 1961) and after several style improvements, the last unit, number 494.209 left the assembly line, reaching the end of the production of this esteemed model in the Argentine market.
Being myself a former employee of Ford Motor of Argentina, and an owner of a 1979 Ford Falcon Station Wagon (first hand) I am glad to attach to the present a brochure of 1978 facelift model. Also attached is an old ad of 1973 facelift.
I feel it might be of interest to include in your home page an original 1978 brochure of an american car of the early sixties, manufactured in a third world country till the nineties and with several soft facelifts.
Yours sincerely,
Mariano Garcia Galisteo
