Today I received fiberglass front and back "bumper" parts.
I plan to change from the original soft plastic to these some time in the future.
They are made by Eckler's. I bought them from Phoenix US Cars in Tønsberg.

New parts.

I bought these 1968-77 armrest repair patch (Eckler's Corvette parts #36086)
from Phoenix US-Cars in Tonsberg Norway. My door panels are the original 1975
panels, and I want to save them before they get cracked. They are often worn/cracked on old Corvettes.

1968-82 Console cushion (Eckler's Corvette parts #32084).
Bought from Phoenix US-Cars in Tonsberg Norway.

1973-82 Windshield Wiper arm cover (Eckler's Corvette parts #A5300).
Bought from Phoenix US-Cars in Tonsberg Norway.

For some reason (most likely because Corvette was an inexpencive car)
The wipers mechanism was designed with all components visable.

I think it looks better with the cover.

New parts.

New engine compartment dust shields installed.
(Eckler's Corvette parts #A9802L / A9802R).
Bought from Phoenix US-Cars in Tonsberg Norway.

Replaced worn 1967-1976 Corvette Parking Brake Console Seal.
(Eckler's Corvette parts #A2271).
Bought from Phoenix US-Cars in Tonsberg Norway.

New 1971-75 4-speed convertible Carpet set. (Eckler's Corvette parts #34026)
New 1968-82 Replacement floor mats. (Eckler's Corvette parts #35860 Cut pile, black)
Bought from Phoenix US-Cars in Tonsberg Norway.

02 October 2007

New power steering hoses installed.
Bought from Phoenix US-Cars in Tonsberg Norway.

The new ones installed, and the old worn out hoses.

After installing new carpet I got a "funny" problem when I have the floor mats in place.
When I press the clutch pedal all the way to the floor, I also engage the high beam light switch located on the floor.
On the Corvette there is a pedal to engage the switch, I had to remove it and only use the button/knob switch
To me it looks like the problem is that the new carpet and floor mat is stiffer than the old one.
Look at the pictures to better understand.

Here's a few more new Corvette (Wallpaper) pics:-)

Left rear wheel bearing is bad and needs to be changed.
I could buy just the bearings, but I would also need special tools to do the job.
Instead I bought this rear wheel bearing assembly from Phoenix US-Cars in Tonsberg, Norway.
Eckler's Corvette part number A7092L. Installing this at home was easy, ordinary tools is all you need.
It took me about four hours to get the job done. I can recommend this solution if you don't have the tools, or if
you have to visit an expensive garage to get help. Even though this part was expensive I believe it was less expensive this way.
